Generational Dynamics

The nation is on the brink of a generational shift, one that comes but once a century. What makes this transition so unique? Where are you (and your generation) in relation to historical cycles of change and how might that impact the workplace? How do diverse generational perspectives, biases and styles influence employee interactions, and support or undermine productivity in teams and organizations? Where might greater collaborative opportunity lie?

Presentations and workshops on this topic introduce participants to Strauss & Howe’s compelling theory on generational cycles and social change, and its significance to current challenges in the workplace. Focusing primarily on the differences between and the strengths and limitations of Baby Boomers, Gen X and incoming Gen Y (or Millennials), participants are invited to look beyond the biases and assumptions of their generational perspectives to explore the potent compatibilities that lie within the mix.
