Deep Type® Assessments
The most effective leaders know how they tick—they recognize their natural strengths and limitations. GLI uses the Deep Type® methodology, based on Jungian Typology, to help leaders and teams gain a deeper understanding of individual, innate strengths and limitations, and how these affect their lives, leadership and organizations.
Performance can improve significantly when leaders understand their Type. Similarly, teams operate optimally when members use their collective strengths to minimize the effects of their limitations.
The Deep Type® methodology was developed by GLI founder, Alan Gilburg, as a way either to confirm the results of the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI®), or determine a person’s Type without the use of the instrument. Using structured conversation, the Deep Type® process engages the client in mutual confirmation of their own Type through a logical process of elimination. Consultant and client agree on a final Type; the process is clear and the client can concur with the outcome. This transparency increases engagement and affords the client deeper insight into the nuances of overuse and underuse of innate capabilities. The Deep Type® methodology is so powerful, we at GLI have not used the MBTI®in over ten years.
