Why should I engage employees and stakeholders
What we are observing:
The workplace is changing. Challenges are more complex, the workforce is more diverse, the playing field is more global, and stakes are higher. Significant gaps in knowledge, technology, communication, generational perspectives, and values infiltrate every industry. Resources are limited, economies are entwined, and no one knows what the future will be like.
In addition, information is plentiful and accessible; secrets are hard to hide and ideas spread virally in seconds. People can meet, communicate and work virtually. Traditional boundaries are dissolving, and one-way, top-down communication is fast becoming obsolete. Multi-directional alliances and networks are becoming essential for getting important work done, and more of the work we do requires creative, adaptive, heuristic thinking capabilities. It requires people to be learning, collaborating, innovating and functioning at their best throughout an organization.
Engagement is vital because:
People are the organization, and if they aren’t engaged, there is little hope for success in this environment that is our current reality. The cost of doing nothing to position your people for what is needed is high. This is the new bottom line: long-term success for organizations, be they businesses, governments or nonprofits, rests on the capabilities of their people—leaders, employees, stakeholders—to build collaborative relationships, clarify the purpose, share knowledge, and create the outcomes for sustainable success.
What we offer:
GLI is adept at working with people—individuals, teams of any size, large organizations, and stakeholder groups. We understand the fundamental aspects of human behavior and interpersonal relationships. We believe the needed knowledge is “in the room;” the real work is accessing and acting upon it. For 10 years we’ve been developing and facilitating processes and programs around our clients’ needs that are affordable, replicable, and that build relationships and collaborative skills.
